Have you ever wondered where the real dangers lurk in the digital world? It's not always the big, sensational hacker attacks you hear about in the news that can paralyze entire companies. It is often much smaller, inconspicuous weak points in our everyday digital lives - our so-called "digital Achilles' heels" - that make us unexpectedly vulnerable. These invisible gaps in the protective shield of our digital identity can have far-reaching consequences, from data theft and financial losses to damage to our reputation.

GfA e.V. invites you to an exciting and informative webinar on July 1, 2025, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m., which will shed light on precisely this topic. The speaker is the renowned IT security expert Ermin Abazi, who not only has impressive expertise in the field of cyber security, but was also actively involved in the development of the pioneering QuantumPhone. His deep insight into the latest security technologies and the methods of cyber criminals makes him an ideal speaker for this important topic. The event will be moderated by Klaus Lichtenauer, 2nd BuVo.

In this webinar, Abazi will explain in an understandable and practical way how criminals cleverly use human behavior and our everyday communication channels to gain access to sensitive information or cause considerable damage. It's not just about technical attacks, but also about psychological manipulation that often goes under the radar. He will show how carelessly shared information, careless clicks on seemingly harmless links or even the way we present ourselves on social media can make us potential targets. The webinar reveals the hidden traps that can be concealed in seemingly secure emails, harmless phone calls or even in casual communication with friends and colleagues. Specific real-life examples will be presented to illustrate how sophisticated yet simple the attackers' methods can be.

A central pillar of the webinar is the presentation of an innovative strategy called "silent defense". This strategy goes beyond conventional protective measures and focuses on recognizing risks at an early stage and taking preventive action. Abazi will show how clever, often subtle behavioral changes and the use of new communication solutions can strengthen your own digital resilience.

The goal

The aim is to develop a better and more informed understanding of these often underestimated digital vulnerabilities and gain practical tips on how to subtly and effectively protect yourself in the digital space. The aim is to create an awareness of one's own role in the digital security chain and to understand that each individual can make a decisive contribution to their own security through conscious action. Participants will learn how to better protect their personal data, recognize phishing attempts and protect themselves from identity theft - all without having to give up the convenience and benefits of the digital world. Instead, the aim is to make digital use more secure and therefore more enjoyable.

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to expand your knowledge of digital security and learn from a leading expert in the field. Invest in your digital future and learn how you can optimally protect yourself and your data.

Further details on the webinar and the option to register can be found conveniently on the GfA e.V. website at Digitale Achillesfersen - GfA e.V. Events. Places are limited. Registration is mandatory.

On 1 July 2025, the online event "Digital Achilles' heels and how to protect them", organized by the Gesellschaft für Arbeitsmethodik e. V. (GfA), took place. It was impressively demonstrated that many security gaps in companies are not only caused by technical issues, but are also largely due to human behavior.
