The Smart Managed PoE++ Switches from the portfolio of our long-standing partner Lantronix enable the efficient networking and power supply of IoT devices in buildings and can thus help to create a sustainable, easier-to-manage, intelligent smart building infrastructure.

Both the Lantronix SM24TBT2DPB-EU-24-Port PoE++ Gigabit Switch and the Lantronix SM24TBT4XPA-24-Port PoE++ Managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch also have smart features that simplify the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and overall management of complex networks in buildings for building designers, system integrators and network engineers.

Lantronix SM24TBT2DPB is a Managed Gigabit Ethernet PoE++ switch with 24 10/100M/1G ports with power up to 90W per port and two 100/1000M SFP/RJ-45 combo uplink ports for multiple, flexible AC or DC power options and an extra wide PoE power range of up to 2160W.

The Lantronix SM24TBT4XPA Managed Gigabit Ethernet PoE++ Switch, which has twelve 10/100/1000M PoE/PoE+ ports, twelve 100M/1G/2.5G PoE/PoE+/PoE++ ports and four 10G SFP+ uplink ports, also enables the simultaneous supply and networking of multiple IoT devices with different power requirements.

The switches use PoE to power IoT devices in buildings and support Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az) for environmentally friendly environments. This allows them to supply connected devices with power and data via a single CatX cable, reducing the need for AC power and lowering overall power consumption thanks to automatic demand-based power adjustment.

Both models also offer smart features such as automatic detection of connected devices, interactive maps for managing and documenting installations, integrated diagnostics for IP and cable and an automatic power reset function that can automatically restart non-responsive devices without the need for a technician on site.

The low cabling effort with just one CatX cable creates flexibility in the placement of connected IoT devices such as occupancy sensors, access control systems, surveillance cameras, lighting or temperature control systems and other applications in smart buildings.
