ETLog Health GmbH processes waste-management project in Tanzania
Berlin/Dar-es-Salaam. ETLog Health GmbH processes since March 2008 a waste management project for tanzanian health facilities in Tanga Region. The project is financed by KfW Development Bank on behalf of the German Federal Government.Prevention of nosocomial infections is one of the urgent tasks for the Tanzanian health sector. Within the frame of the HiDP (Health infrastructure Development Program) in Tanga Region measures were carried out to improve infection control.
Within the framework of the German-Tanzanian Development Cooperation, the “Health Infrastructure Development Project” is set up to improve the health service delivery in Tanga Region and to improve the health infrastructure in Tanga. One part of the health infrastructure will be the improvement of the waste management system. The project is financed by KfW Development Bank on behalf of the German Federal Government.
The main tasks of ETLog Health are Implementation of an advanced and adapted waste management system for the six district hospitals, Training and Workshops of multiplier and hospital staff and Improving the recycling system.
