The Hamburg Players present: The Dining Room by A. R. Gurney
A. R Gurney’s comedy about American, old-fashioned W.A.S.P, upper-middle class values is guaranteed to make the laughter last throughout the entire performance as each separate story overlaps with the next sketch. Actors put on their party hats to play games as seven year-old children and take them off again to play elderly grandparents. Maids serve breakfast to wealthy families during the Depression and then change into the wealthy career women of today within seconds. Nothing is fixed forever in the dining room and each change of scene brings a fresh burst of laughter with it.
