Top Ranking School in Pilani JMA Celebrates 2025 International Day of Yoga

Smt. Its power to transform is what we celebrate on this special day. On December 11, 2014, the United Nations General Assembly designated June 21 as the International Day of Yoga.



Millions of people around the globe, united by the practice of yoga, have celebrated this day each year. This global celebration fosters unity and harmony, transcends borders and cultures, and brings us closer to a world of peace and well-being. In 2023, the Yoga Day celebration at the UN Headquarters created a Guinness World Record for the participation of yoga enthusiasts of most nationalities. 2025 marks the 11th International Day of Yoga, a celebration that welcomes and values the participation of all.



This day is an opportunity to reveal to the world the subtle science of yoga, which everyone can use not just to achieve physical well being but also to learn a better way to live a healthy harmonious and happy life. The essence of yoga is balance - not just balance within the body or that between the mind and the body, but also balance in the human relationship with the world. Yoga emphasizes the values of mindfulness, moderation, discipline and perseverance.



The goal is to transform yoga into a widespread movement that emphasizes well-being and promotes global health and peace. On 21 June 2025, JMA students, teachers and staff enthusiastically participated in the Yoga day celebrations by performing various yogic postures. Mrs Ramba Kumari Academic Coordinator and Mrs Anita PTI spearheaded the entire proceedings . It goes without saying that Yoga undoubtedly plays a significant role in the psycho-social care, anger management as well as for allaying the fears and anxiety in students.
