21st December 2016 - London, UK: Chelsea captain John Terry has launched the worlds’ first 360° virtual reality football academy.

The JT academy, in partnership with infinite360 and Wasserman, provides users with an immersive one-on-one training experience and behind the scenes access to one of the most successful players in the modern era.

Former England captain Terry, who won 78 caps for his country, has over 20 years’ experience at the top level of professional football and has won nearly everything there is to win in the game; including the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Europa League and Champions League.

The academy will provide an insight into how and why Terry has remained at the pinnacle of professional football for so long; inviting members to join one-on-one personalised football and performance tuition sessions both on and off the pitch. Simply put, the JT Academy is a ground-breaking mobile application, utilising photorealistic CGI and specialist 360° video to immerse members into a unique mixed reality - making this the very first of its kind.

On the launch of his VR academy, Terry said, “I’m incredibly excited to announce the launch of the JT Academy. Virtual Reality is without doubt fast becoming the future and the academy gives users the opportunity to experience and learn the skills required to make it as a professional sportsperson; both mentally and physically, as well as a behind the scenes insight into my own life and career experiences.
