President Trump Honors "His Holiness Pope Francis" with a National Proclamation which He Called a "Mark" of Respect for Rome

On April 21, 2025, President Donald J. Trump issued an official presidential proclamation, calling it a "mark of respect" in honor of the man he called "His Holiness Pope Francis." This national proclamation was a mark of respect for Rome, and we know that soon, the Sunday law crisis will be another mark of respect for the first beast of Revelation 13. As a "mark" of solemn respect for the Holy See and the global Catholic community, President Trump has ordered that all United States flags be flown at half-staff at all federal buildings, military posts, naval stations, and U.S. embassies around the world. The proclamation goes into effect immediately and will remain in place until sunset on the day of Pope Francis' interment.

The national proclamation issued by Donald Trump was published by the White House and expressed the following:

• By the President of the United States of America [1]

• A Proclamation [1]

• As a mark of respect for the memory of His Holiness Pope Francis, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, on the day of interment. I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same length of time at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations. According to Bible prophecy, the United States and the Vatican hold a central role in end-time events. Religious power will become a political force, and church and state will become more pronounced and entwined. The spiritual crisis will culminate in a moment of global significance when a National Sunday Law is enacted-mandating Sunday worship in direct opposition to the biblical Sabbath. This law is seen as a critical step toward the enforcement of the mark of the beast, symbolizing a final test of allegiance between God's commandments and man-made traditions.

"And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed." Revelation 13:12.

In this framework, a national proclamation will be made by the second beast (USA) in honor of the first beast (Rome). We saw a glimpse of this with President Trump's national order over the death of Pope Francis. The passing of the Sunday law would solidify the alliance between church and state, positioning the Vatican at the heart of a global spiritual crisis, and the United States as its political counterpart, thus fulfilling the long-anticipated prophecies.

"Romanism in the Old World, and apostate Protestantism in the New, will pursue a similar course toward those who honor all the divine precepts. The people of God will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and distress described by the prophet as the time of Jacob's trouble" (Great Controversy, p. 615).
