Natchez to Timbo, the Royal Journey Home
H.R.H. Princess Karen Chatman will be accompanied by distinguished descendants Annie Bell Varner-White and Prempeh Kubi of Natchez, Mississippi, and Dr. Artemus Gaye of Monrovia, Liberia. This journey is sponsored by the Wiseman of Timbo, Elder ElHadji Mody Ordy Barry, who previously visited Natchez, Mississippi, United States in 2023 and 2024 to pay homage to Prince Abdulrahman Ibrahima Ibn Sori, who was captured and enslaved in Natchez, MS, from 1788 until 1828.
The return symbolizes the enduring legacy and commitment of Prince Sori's descendants and the Official Royal House of Sori to preserve and honor their rich heritage. Through continued humanitarian efforts, cultural engagements, and collaboration with community leaders, this historic event aims to strengthen the bonds between the United States

The Official Royal House of Sori is a historic and prestigious institution dedicated to preserving the rich legacy and heritage of Prince Abdulrahman Ibrahima Sori and his family. The Official Royal House of Sori has a profound history that spans continents and generations, with significant ties to Natchez, Mississippi, and Monrovia, Liberia.
Our mission is to honor the memory and accomplishments of Prince Abdulrahman Ibrahima Sori and his wife, Isabella Foster Rahman Sori, by promoting cultural heritage, humanitarian efforts, and educational initiatives. We strive to foster unity, understanding, and collaboration between communities both within Guinea and internationally.
Led by Her Royal Highness Princess Karen Chatman, a direct descendant of Prince Abdulrahman Ibrahima Sori, the Official Royal House of Sori engages in various charitable activities, partnerships with community leaders, and collaborative projects with government and commercial entities. Our work aims to uplift and empower individuals, preserve cultural traditions, and contribute to the betterment of society.
Through our commitment to humanitarian efforts, cultural engagements, and historical preservation, the Official Royal House of Sori continues to play a vital role in bridging past legacies with future aspirations, ensuring that the legacy of Prince Abdulrahman Ibrahima Sori lives on for generations to come.
