Allcroft Winthorp Charitable Issues First Grant from Sustainable Calamity Recovery Fund

Allcroft Winthorp Charitable recently issued the first grant from our Sustainable Calamity Recovery Fund (SCRF)

Sustainable Calamity Recovery Fund is a field of interest fund designed to provide a source of long-term funding for recovery efforts in areas impacted by calamities.
The grant is supporting its "pooled fund" that supports relief in the years to come after the local calamities that occurred. The five main projects supported by this pooled fund include [1] shelter; [2] water, sanitation and hygiene projects; [3] food security, livelihood and local development; [4] reproductive health and protection against gender-based violence; and [5] psychosocial and education support.
Allcroft Winthorp Charitable is very experienced with disaster relief and rebuilding efforts, especially with those that are impoverished, and focuses its work on those that are marginalized (often women).
Allcroft Winthorp Charitable's SDRF was created this year and it is overseen by the Board of Trustees of Allcroft Winthorp Charitable. Donors may contribute directly to SDRF and earn a tax deduction by making the charitable contribution. The Board makes all decisions about potential grants.
Allcroft Winthorp actively supports charitable causes within its business area. Allcroft Winthorp engages in charitable donations, contributions, sponsorships and promotional donations. Donations are made to registered non-profit organizations. Other donations are also undertaken, generally to build and maintain goodwill among clients, prospective clients, suppliers and other stakeholders.
In its donations, Allcroft Winthorp supports registered non-profit organizations operating in our market area. We typically will not support national charitable fundraising efforts.
