Richmond, MA - September 9th, 2024, Everyone is joining BHW's! As Berkshire HorseWorks gears up for its 10th Anniversary Gala, Rescues On The Runway: A Walk Of Resiliency on Friday, September 20th, 2024 in Lenox, the nonprofit has secured additional sponsorships from Berkshire Health Systems and Donald C. McGraw Foundation at the Filly Level of $1,000, Ira & Paula Resnick Foundation at the Stallion Level of $2,500, and a grant of $1,200 to produce a special video from Berkshire Film and Media Collaborative's Community Film Fund. The news was announced today by Hayley Sumner, founder and executive director. The event will be emceed by Massachusetts State Representative Smitty Pignatelli. To date, BHW has seen over 3000 at-risk youth, active duty, veterans, families, and other vulnerable populations in the Berkshires and throughout New England.

McGraw Foundation have always been at the forefront of ensuring the Berkshire community has access to effective treatment for mental health and behavioral challenges. In addition, the commitment from the Ira & Paula Resnick Foundation and Berkshire Film and Media Collaborative has enabled us to focus on what matters most and to share the courageous efforts of those who have worked so hard," stated Sumner.

Berkshire HorseWorks, Inc., a 501c3 mission-driven nonprofit, has offered Eagala Model equine assisted psychotherapy, equine assisted learning, equine assisted team building, and other therapeutic and recreational activities with horses, for the last 10 years. With the addition of Horse Powered Reading and Math curriculums, BHW has recently expanded into the educational space. All experiential programming for children, families, and those at risk with mental health and behavioral challenges is funded through grants, donations, and direct pay from corporate team building and recreational activities including trail rides lessons.
