KELCH GmbH is launching the KENOVA set line V244 manual tool presetter. The tool presetter is designed for manual use without compressed air and for tools up to 400 mm in diameter and 400 mm in length with a maximum weight of 15 kg. The SK50 precision spindle from KELCH enables all standard tool tapers to be adapted. As the KENOVA set line V244 does not require compressed air, it only needs a power socket and can be used anywhere in production. In larger companies, the new tool presetter can be used as a useful additional device directly on the machine tool. The KENOVA set line V244 is now available worldwide.

"The KENOVA set line V244 works sustainably and is easy on the budget," says Viktor Grauer, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Innovation Management at KELCH. As the only setting fixture on the market that works without compressed air, it saves on one of the most expensive media in machining production. It is suitable for companies of all sizes with the appropriate areas of application and tools. It is particularly suitable for areas in which tools are frequently adjusted. The KENOVA set line V244 is also a cost-effective solution for small companies and craft businesses, and is suitable for training centers as an introduction to optical tool presetting and measurement, as it can be operated without prior knowledge.

High mechanical precision
Like all devices in the KENOVA set line series, the KENOVA set line V244 has a compact and ergonomic design. The base body made of FEM-optimized grey cast iron ensures high mechanical precision. The steel guide rails and spindle are mounted directly onto the base body. "With the KENOVA set line V244, we have once again achieved a perfect mix of materials with the most identical linear expansion coefficients possible. This avoids undesirable bimetal effects when used in non-air-conditioned rooms and offers a high level of precision," emphasizes Viktor Grauer. The good accessibility of the spindle supports easy handling. Thanks to the ergonomic workstation design, users have plenty of space for tools and work materials. With a comparatively low weight of 55 kg, the KENOVA set line V244 can also be used on the move without any significant additional effort. The high precision and ease of use are rounded off by the appealingly fresh design in the style of the KENOVA set line series.
