New on the market: KELCH cleaning device RoWi III

Weinstadt, 28.05.2024 - Clean tool holder cones ensure quality and process reliability in production. KELCH is launching the RoWi III for professional cleaning of tool holders. The table-top taper cleaner boasts a new ergonomic design and useful additional features. RoWi III cleans even heavily soiled or gummy tool holders and is available either as a flexible table-top device or as an installation in CNC machines.

RoWi III consists of a drive unit with an AC motor for around 65 revolutions per minute and various cleaning attachments, each with three brushes for different taper sizes. Only abrasive bristles are used for cleaning, as these reliably remove the dirt without generating mechanical abrasion, and as soon as a taper is inserted, the machine cleans automatically for one minute so that the user can prepare for the next work step.

As a flexible table-top unit, RoWi III is significantly lighter than its predecessor models and is easy to transport thanks to its form-fit integrated handles. The table-top system can be positioned at any location with a 220 V socket. The cleaning unit offers an innovative clamping principle for DIN and MAS BT steep tapers. For the first time, it is possible to clean the inside of the HSK cone and thus clean the clamping slope. A timer ensures effective use without unnecessary waiting times. The interchangeable cleaning attachments for RoWi III are available for the HSK, PSC and SK taper types.

Less waste
Cleaning the tool holder taper with RoWi III before insertion into the machine tool ensures high changeover precision. The precision at the interface ensures the concentricity of the tool system, resulting in fewer rejects. After use, chips and emulsions can be removed with RoWi III. As soon as a cone is inserted, the RoWi III cleans automatically for one minute. Apart from emptying the dirt particles or replacing the brushes, RoWi III is maintenance-free and resistant to rust and cooling lubricants.

Designed for the machine
Alternatively, RoWi III is also available for direct use in the machine tool. There, the machine can automatically clean the cone before and after use so that it guarantees perfect results the next time it is used.
