Vienna, April 15, 2024 - SOFY GmbH announces the successful conclusion of price negotiations with the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds. After only two rounds of negotiations, a permanent reimbursement price for edupression® has been agreed. The newly agreed price is around EUR 225 for both initial and follow-up prescriptions. This milestone underlines the recognition of the quality of the clinical study and the product quality of edupression®.

The negotiations were based on the recognition of a recently completed clinical trial conducted with a sham treatment as an active control condition. edupression® was able to demonstrate proof of efficacy for two clinical endpoints: a significant reduction in depression severity and a significant improvement in health literacy. The effectiveness of edupression® is based on more than 100 hours of multimedia medical content that integrates psychoeducation, digital psychotherapy and therapy feedback. A clear dose-response relationship has been demonstrated, indicating that more intensive use leads to better results.

This reandomized, controlled clinical trial also showed that edupression® leads to significant improvements even when taken concurrently with antidepressants or psychotherapy.

Daniel Amann, spokesman for SOFY GmbH, emphasized the professional and constructive cooperation between the two negotiating teams: "We are delighted with the rapid outcome of the negotiations, which was only possible thanks to the good and constructive cooperation between the team from the GKV Spitzenverband and SOFY GmbH.

edupression® thus sets another milestone in the treatment of depression and strengthens its position as an innovative and effective therapy option. SOFY GmbH continues to aim to offer high-quality and effective solutions to improve patients' quality of life.
