Press release from: Mox Telecom Group

The population’s structure pledges a middle-term revenue of 30 – 40 million

Ratingen, 2007-12-06 - Mox Telecom AG has started its operations in the United Kingdom at the end of this year. With the support of the new Country Manager, who brings several years of experience in the British calling card market to the company, Mox is expecting very good prospects of success. Great Britain with its multi-ethnical population is an ideal market to open up by Mox Telecom AG. For the upcoming year Mox reckons with revenues of € 5-7 million.

With the beginning of this month Mox Telecom AG has started the distribution of calling cards and minutes for call shops for international telephony in Europe’s largest calling card market. With his several years of experience and a large number of contacts in the British calling card market the Country Manager for Great Britain promises major revenues.

Mox’s new Country Manager has gathered profound knowledge of the UK calling card market for several years and therefore can be seen as an insider of the industry. From his former activity for one of Britain’s top 5 providers the new Sales Representative has access to a wide network of contacts to the key player in the distribution channels.

Great Britain with its 60.59 million inhabitants, a quarter of a million immigrants annually and their high demand for international telephony is a qualified target market. In the last decade alone approximately 3 million immigrants came to Great Britain, a large number of them still comes from the Commonwealth. Britons leaving the country, mostly emigrate to English-speaking countries as well as Germany, France and Spain.

The telecommunication market of the United Kingdom is well developed: In the global context the British calling card market is considered as Europe’s largest calling card market with an annual turnover of € 635 million in 2006. “Due to the distinguished market knowledge of the new Country Manager for Great Britain the market development is very promising”, says founder of the company and CEO Dr Günter Schamel. “Regarding the next 4-5 years we expect a significant market share of more than 6%”, continues Dr Schamel.

After having started distribution in Afghanistan and Pakistan and the opening of the new branch in Moldova, Mox still continues expansion. With the new Country Manager in Great Britain turnovers of approximately € 100 million are expected for the Mox Group for the coming year.
