Press release from: Mox Telecom Group

Contract with international wholesaler enables Mox to enter Afghanistan

Ratingen, 2007-11-26 - From now on the distribution of Calling Cards from Mox Telecom AG will also take place in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The cooperation treaty between Mox Telecom Arabia and Shekeeb Gulf FZE, as well as the recently concluded contract with Ismar International PVT LTD are the basis. Both companies will make their established distribution system available.

Mox won Ismar International PVT LTD. a distributor for telecommunication products over for a contract for Pakistan. Thus Mox Arabia is able to enter the market of the country where 165 million inhabitants live. This market is growing by approximately 2.5 – 3 % per month. Currently there are about 61.16 million mobile phone users. Based on the recently signed contract first sales have been realized. Ismar International disposes of various business relations to many retailers in Pakistan, Middle East, Afghanistan and Africa.

In Shekeeb Gulf FZE Mox Telecom AG found another reliable partner for the international distribution of Calling Cards. The wholesaler Shekeeb Gulf FZE is a global player, located in New York and Dubai, dealing among other things with electrical equipment. For many years the company has been maintaining successful and various business relations in Afghanistan. By means of the cooperation Mox is granted access to the far reaching distribution network of Shekeeb Gulf FZE. Thus a quick and cost efficient market entry into the Afghan telecommunications market is enabled.

Despite the tense situation in both Central Asian countries, Mox expects to be very successful in these emerging markets. In Afghanistan as well as in Pakistan the prevalence of mobile telephony is substantial. On top of that the percentage of international telephone calls is on a high level. The management in Ratingen assumes a sales potential for both projects of 3 to 5 million USD for the business year 2008. Until 2010 this volume is to grow to 10 to 15 million USD p. a..

The scalable business model of Mox Telecom AG proved itself again as a guarantor for success. The attraction of new customers has always been a huge challenge for Mox. Therefore the company has been focussing on its stable relationships to wholesalers with extensive relations to local retailers. Thus Mox is able to maintain an enormous competitive advantage. “In the first place we work with existing distribution channels, the wholesale”, reveals the founder and chairman Dr. Günter Schamel. “We are very happy to have gained new distribution partners. Their support will enable Mox to enter new, attractive markets efficiently”.
