Thompson & Knight Chief Diversity Officer Speaks at International Diversity Summit

Thompson & Knight LLP Partner and Chief Diversity Officer Pauline E. Higgins was a featured speaker at The Globalization of Diversity Summit recently held in London, England. The first-of-its-kind event was organized to bring together chief legal officers, corporate general counsel, law firm managing partners, and other leaders in the legal profession to address diversity in the international legal profession. The Summit was hosted by the American Bar Association Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession, the Law Society of England and Wales, and the General Council of the Bar of England and Wales.

“I am honored to have been invited to present at this summit, where leading lawyers from the U.S. and the United Kingdom discussed diversity and inclusion issues and challenges faced by lawyers around the globe,” says Higgins. “It was an excellent opportunity for attorneys to brainstorm and strategize on ways to positively impact the legal profession globally.”

Higgins is a Partner in Thompson & Knight’s Finance Practice Group and the Firm’s Chief Diversity Officer. She focuses her practice on financial transactions and represents clients in banking, structured finance, asset securitizations, and asset backed securities transactions. She also represents clients in mergers and acquisitions. In her role as the Firm's Chief Diversity Officer, Higgins designs and implements initiatives that support the Firm's commitment to cultivate and maintain diversity and inclusion.
