Press release from: Thompson & Knight

Dallas – The global law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce The Best Lawyers in America® has named three of the Firm’s attorneys as “Lawyer of the Year” in their respective areas of practice. The attorneys are:

** P. Mike McCullough, Dallas Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year;
** R. David Wheat, Dallas Tax Lawyer of the Year; and
** Arthur J. Wright, Dallas Oil & Gas Lawyer of the Year.

The publication designates one “Lawyer of the Year” by practice area in major metropolitan regions across the nation. This year, the publication honored 17 attorneys in the Dallas area based on particularly high ratings in peer-based surveys for legal abilities, professionalism, and integrity. This is the second consecutive year that a Thompson & Knight attorney has been recognized as Best Lawyers’ Dallas Tax Lawyer of the Year. It is the first year the publication has named a Dallas Oil and Gas Lawyer of the Year.

“We continue to believe – as we have believed for more than 25 years – that recognition by one’s peers is the most meaningful form of praise in the legal profession,” said Steven Naifeh, President of Best Lawyers.

Best Lawyers is the oldest lawyer-rating publication in the United States. The company compiles its listings through exhaustive peer-review surveys and tabulates more than 2.5 million ballots every year. The Best Lawyers in America® continues to be the only advertisement-free referral guide to the legal profession and includes more than 36,000 attorneys in 78 practice areas, covering all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Best Lawyers also evaluates lawyers worldwide and publishes its global lists online at www.bestlawyers.com.
