This feeling of euphoria is behind the award-winning brochure for Tetherwind at The Preserve at Chino by L&A Marketing and Advertising, Inc.

Soaring with inspiration, the kite-shaped brochure won a 2007 Laurel Award by the Inland Empire Sales and Marketing Council (IESMC). Now it is being recognized with a Regional Award by the National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC) as part of The Nationals 2008 awards.

NSMC is recognizing the Tetherwind brochure as the “Best Brochure for a Community Priced Under $400,000” in its region. The council is a part of the National Association of Home Builders. The annual regional awards cover 10 regions throughout the nation.

“It’s an honor to receive recognition from NSMC and to be honored alongside some of the best in the industry,” said Elliot Light, president of Irvine-based L&A Marketing and Advertising. “This past year, the L&A team really pulled together to help our clients in the homebuilding industry face a challenging market slowdown.

“The Tetherwind brochure, a local and regional award winner, is a prime example of the agency’s quality work. The Tetherwind brochure for Shea Homes also won the 2007 Laurel Award for “Best Brochure for a Community Priced $399,001 to $599,000.” A second Laurel Award recognized the agency’s entire spectrum of Tetherwind work as “Best Graphic Continuity.”

IESMC presents the annual awards to recognize homebuilding excellence in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

The unique Tetherwind brochure and other creative materials are a reflection of the whimsical community logo. Also the work of L&A, the logo shows a child flying a kite on a perfect, windy day.

The logo takes its inspiration from Van Gogh’s famous Starry Night painting.
