The 6th and 14th Amendments of the Constitution are being Repudiated, Thanks in Part to the Trump Indictments

"Our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government" (Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 451).

We are living in very dangerous times. Right now, our constitutional republic is quickly coming to an end. No former president in the history of the United States has ever been indicted. Donald Trump, however, is facing criminal charges in four different cases with 91 felony counts that could potentially put him in prison for the rest of his life. This is unprecedented in American history. In the end, the courts will decide whether or not something was done illegally.

These important developments in our nation should interest us for a good reason. I pray that people will put politics aside and recognize how dangerous things have gotten in our country. Too many people don't fully comprehend how these developments are causing our US Constitution to become null and void. The greatest threat to the representative and constitutional government of the United States is not China or Russia; no, it's politicians who use state and federal courts as a weapon to persecute and prosecute their political enemies. Let me demonstrate how the unprecedented indictments against Trump are contributing to the rejection of the foundational ideas of the US Constitution.

The equal protection clause, found in Section 1 of our Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment, is the fundamental principle of a free society and emphasizes the idea that all individuals and institutions, including government authorities, are subject to the law and accountable to it. It also implies that laws are enacted and enforced in a fair and consistent manner regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation.

Here is how the American justice system has been turned on its head and why the Constitution is being repudiated. Democratic politicians and members of the media are calling for the prosecution of Donald Trump, for the implementation of the rule of law, and for justice. However, these same people are not saying one word about Democrat-led cities that have been turned into war zones as woke liberal state attorneys refuse to prosecute crime in those locations.

Those involved in the infamous smash-and-grab robberies face little to no consequences. Democrat prosecutors refuse to indict minorities and young people who are committing theft or violent crimes. Their soft-on-crime policies, calls to defund the police, and no-cash bail only embolden criminals to continue in their lawlessness.

Secondly, Donald Trump had been indicted on 91 felony charges. How many felonies have the Biden family, the Clintons, and other top Democratic leaders faced? Unfortunately, the Democrat elites are never indicted or prosecuted for their crimes. Hunter Biden's laptop revealed a wide array of criminal acts-tax evasion, gun charges, drug use, prostitution, and influence peddling-using political connections to obtain favors or money.

Despite the fact that there have been whistleblowers who have testified on Capitol Hill and presented evidence of actual crimes committed by the Biden family, the Department of Justice has decided not to pursue legal action. Even if they do, it will only result in a slap on the wrist with no jail time or felony charges. Sadly, Donald Trump and the Republicans are the only ones to whom the rule of law applies, making the Fourteenth Amendment meaningless in America with this double standard.

Then we have the 6th Amendment of the Constitution, which is also dangerously being repudiated with the Trump indictments. Amendment 6 guarantees the right to legal representation, or the right to an attorney, which includes attorney-client privilege. Unfortunately, this right is being discarded today. In the Georgia case, Trump's attorneys have also been indicted on 13 felonies. Democrats are not just going after Trump; they are going after his attorneys as well. That is intimidation and harassment. They want to scare off anyone who might work for Donald Trump so that he cannot get the best possible legal representation to defend himself in a court of law-a violation of the 6th Amendment.

But that's not all. Anyone who has had any communication or conversation with Donald Trump about the subject matters contained in the indictments, including what he may have said to his attorneys, is now fair game.

Do we understand the times in which we are living? Do you see how the lamb-like beast of Revelation 13 is turning into a dragon? If they can do this to Donald Trump, a very wealthy and politically connected individual, what chance do we stand? Imagine what they can do to the rest of society. They can go after each one of us, and they will come for us next if we don't bow down and comply with the new one-party system where there is no dissent, no opposition, no free speech, and no freedom.

This is part of the end-time scenario. Before Jesus returns in glory, the world will experience a period of trouble and great distress. The use of force by political and religious authorities as part of a new global control system is described in Revelation chapters 13 and 17. All the pieces are coming together, and the Trump indictments indicate that our nation-which has long been an oasis of political and religious freedom-is getting closer to the reign of tyranny predicted in Bible prophecy. Political corruption, as well as religious corruption, is one of the components that will help our country to repudiate these long-standing liberties and bring us closer to the mark of the beast crisis:

"Political corruption is destroying love of justice and regard for truth; and even in free America, rulers and legislators, in order to secure public favor, will yield to the popular demand for a law enforcing Sunday observance" (Great Controversy, p. 592).
