New "Conclusive" Data: Car-Free Sundays Will Generate €400,00 per Kilometer, Improve Population Health, and Reduce Accidents
WorldCrunch is a Paris-based, secular news agency that publishes news in 15 different languages and is active in more than 40 different nations. They published and article on July 15, 2023, titled "Measuring What Is Gained With Car-Free Cities-Including Cash Profits." The story featured pictures of people walking and riding bicycles, together with the words "Car-Free Sundays." The article praised the "Car-Free Sundays" initiative by attributing to it both health and monetary benefits. New studies were cited, telling us that all the data is conclusive and transparent. WorldCruch reported the following:• "Data in favor of pedestrianization (car-free) are increasingly conclusive and transparent. Two recent articles support this. Research carried out in 14 Spanish cities concluded that pedestrianization increased the income of businesses."
• "A study in Copenhagen also found that for every kilometer of bike lane built in the Danish capital, €400,000 (euros) in benefits were generated per year through a reduction in transport, healthcare and accident costs."
• "These are direct benefits for cyclists, in terms of time and convenience, for public health, through reduced costs from a healthier population, and for safety, through reduced accident costs. The net benefit is large and positive."
• "People bike and scooter in the street on Car Free Sunday in Brussels."
There you have it. The data is in, and the experts have spoken. The new studies have concluded that Car-Free Sundays are a public health benefit. Do you remember the coercive lockdowns and health mandates that were enacted during the Covid pandemic in the interest of public health? Now we are being told that certain studies have concluded that Car-Free Sundays are a benefit for a "healthier population."
The idea that Sunday is the official day of rest is being implanted into the minds of people today. Car-free Sunday has two primary purposes. First, to encourage people to reduce the negative environmental effects created by driving cars, and second, to establish in society the idea that Sunday is the day for rest and relaxation.
There is nothing wrong with encouraging people to exercise by walking, cycling, or riding a skateboard. We should be participating in activities that improve our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The problem with Car-free Sundays is that Sunday is being presented as the day to foster a sense of community by encouraging interaction, participation, awareness, increased business, cash profits, and temporal prosperity. Car-free Sunday is an obvious attempt to establish Sunday as a special day for the community.

Let Us Stop Avoiding the Real Issues
As the 2025 General Conference Session convenes, with believers from around the world watching and praying, there is an unmistakable sense of frustration among many of the faithful. While we will be given lectures about returning our tithes and offerings-as outlined in the proposed 2025 Church Manual agenda-we must ask ourselves: is this truly the burning concern on the hearts of God's remnant people at this critical hour in history?
The…

Ganoune Diop: "I Never Said I Don't Preach the Three Angels' Message-That Would …
While walking down the hallway at the America's Center Convention Complex-the site of the 62nd General Conference Session-I saw Ganoune Diop approaching. Knowing how busy church leaders are during these sessions, I asked if he had time to answer just one question. He stopped to look at me, and I asked him directly, "Why don't you preach the Three Angels' Messages? Why do you only preach Jesus?" As he began…

Ted Wilson Hijacks the Debate Again, Silencing Motions to Address the Church's C …
As the day began, it was clear that the opening session would be marked by intense debate and contention. Everyone who attended the morning press conference orientation was informed that three agendas were going to be approved on this day: the Church Manual agenda, the Constitutional agenda, and the General agenda. The main issue centered on the General agenda, which allows for multiple items to be introduced. It was during…

Rome Stops Traffic On Ecological Sunday
Rome's "Ecological Sundays," which restrict traffic to reduce pollution, may at a first glance appear to be an environmental initiative on the surface, but they serve a deeper agenda-to condition the public to the idea of staying home and resting on Sundays. While rest is not inherently problematic, the issue lies in how this concept is being enforced-not through a voluntary means, but through civil law. By mandating Sunday rest…

World News Group is a biweekly news magazine published by evangelical Protestants that was created to serve the Christian community. [1] On February 14, 2024, World News Group published a defense of Chick-fil-A, calling for the right of businesses to close on Sunday. In fact, the Evangelical magazine made the argument that no business should be open on Sunday because this would go against "text, tradition, and nature." The article…
Sunday is not God's Sabbath
