International Conference on "Digital challenges for museum experts" 22 September 2015, Athens

• Provide a forum of museum professionals, scholars and ICT initiatives to meet and exchange experiences and ideas for training and employment in the field of Culture & Technology.

• The event is organized within the framework of the e-Cult Skills project, which has recently finalised its investigation of new and emerging jobs in the field of e-Culture at international level, and developed Training Guidelines for VET providers in this sector.

• e-Cult Skills started on the 1st October 2013 and will close its activities by 30 September 2015

• EUPROMA is project coordinator and German project partner

Munich, July 2015: The conference aims at promoting the results of the project e-CultSkills (http://ecultskills.eu/), which is co-funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the EU. The project investigated the emerging ICT needs of professionals and market within the cultural sector in 6 EU countries, placing the emphasis on museums, The skills needs were compared at European level and descriptions of five new job roles were created taking up these topical needs. By that, the project created comparable skills sets for these future professions, thus supporting the European labor market and the employability of professionals. Furthermore, the project has developed Training Guidelines for VET providers on how to teach these specific roles,taking into account also the aspect of professional mobility within Europe.

The conference is addressing cultural heritage institutions especially museum professionals (staff, managers, board members, and policy-makers), vocational training organizations (VET), ICT Industry and stakeholders from the cultural area.

Euproma is committed to the professional provision of advisory services for the successful development and implementation of EU-projects and nationally funded cooperation projects. We specialise in advising institutions and organisations mainly in the field of education, further education and vocational training, but also in other sectors such as Multimedia and ICT.

Furthermore Euproma provides advanced vocational trainings for project management professionals in international project management, moderation and quality management.

Founded in 2008 as a subsidiary of md-pro GmbH and EC PRO Consult and is managed by Dott.sa Adriana Baer and Prof. Dr. Kotterba who both hold a long track record in coordinating EC-funded or nationally funded pilot projects. Euproma is also content-wise familiar with developing professional profiles based on EQF, eCF and ECVET.
