Gleistein Ropes presents the advanced FLX Mooring System and other cordage innovations at METS 2014

Gleistein Ropes presents it latest groundbreaking solutions to the international marine leisure industry at this year’s METS (Marine Equipment Trade Show). Among the highlights is the FLX Mooring System, which boosts service life while keeping lifetime costs low by intelligently marrying premium mooring lines with decidedly more economical tails as the sacrificial element. Also set to impress is DynaOne® noveni – the latest and toughest incarnation of the popular high-performance Gleistein benchmark line with 20% increased strength. And with optimised, snugly fitting covers enveloping the powerful core for extreme resistance against heat or abrasion, the new CapTwin represents the first choice for deployment in high-performance captive winches. CapTwin: Say aye aye, to the unmatched running rigging solution for captive winches
Today’s high performance captive winches represent a special challenge for running rigging. The lines must deliver extreme strength, traction and durability while remaining as small and light as is only possible. With CapTwin, Gleistein boasts an off-the-rack solution that is optimised for the perfect interplay between feeder and winch to return unsurpassed rope guidance attributes even under the highest loads and fastest conveyance speeds. Tremendous heat or abrasion resistance is now additionally assured with the newly available covers that tightly grip the load-bearing core – which may also be ordered made with Dyneema® SK99 for an additional 20% strength.
