Improving Reliability to Ensure Continuous Operations
The evolution being witnessed in the Reliability & Maintenance area has brought to the fore the need of proactive and predictive maintenance and also establishing a reliability process which helps in efficient asset management at an optimal cost. Andre Luiz Moreira, Director Operations from Mercedes Benz, Brazil will deliver talk on Improving Reliability to Ensure Continuous Operations at 3rd Annual Plant Reliability and Major Maintenance Forum. Brazil will witness industry experts meet under one roof on 4 - 5 December 2014 at Rio de Janeiro.The summit will talk about the importance of implementing initiatives that will help companies improve the way they operate and manage their risks. Iony Patriota de Siqueria, Chairman of CIGRE Study Committee B5, Advisor representing ABRAMAN, Brazil will facilitate in listing the advantages of having a KPI based reliability & maintenance program during his presentation on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to help track the maintenance management.
The 2nd edition of the forum saw participation from over 150 attendees. Fabio Rego, Maintenance Superintendent from General Motors “The event was excellent to keep my focus in continuous improvement process and safety.” The 2-day program was packed with plant maintenance case studies, technical, regulatory & management presentations, knowledge-sharing discussion groups & structured question and answer sessions.
In the 3rd edition of the Plant Reliability and Major Maintenance Forum, moving away from just learning from the books, the summit aims at bringing experiences, best practices and the vast experience of the leaders from the industry. The summit will be used as a platform to help the attendees achieve the perfect balance between the maintenance techniques and the cost associated with it without abandoning the safety aspects such as occupational safety, process safety and asset integrity.
