HBV series block-body ball valve as used, for example, in the steel industry

HBV series block-body ball valve as used, for example, in the steel industry

Independently of nominal size, two-way block-body ball valves in the HBV series from Stauff are highly suitable for use in the extreme pressure range up to 800 bar, thanks to massive construction and the use of high-quality materials. This makes them the first choice when reliable shut-off of liquid media is involved, for example, in test stands, steel works, or on cutting and high-pressure cleaning systems. The extreme seal stresses caused by the high pressure loads are captured by special chambering. In addition, this special protective system prevents erosion and rapid wear of the sealing rings.

The shut-off valves are designed for direct pipeline installation and are available with optional connections for cutting ring connections of the heavy series according to DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 or NPT internal threads.

Like the entire product range of Stauff fluid technology components, the surfaces of the standard ball-valve housing in the HBV series are produced without chromium(VI), giving them maximum protection from corrosion. More than 300 hours of resistance to red rust by the zinc/iron coating in the salt-spray chamber outperforms the usual chromating and phosphating on the market many times over. Furthermore, the surface meets the specifications of current EU directives with respect to the use of hazardous heavy metals.
