Screw-in and plug-in filter elements of the SFK series are part of Stauff?s product range - now available with GL certificate
In May 2014, a substantial part of the range of replacement filter elements in the Stauff SFK series (i.e. screw-in and plug-in filter elements in stainless steel or plastic design), which are used in single, double and automatic filters, was certified by Germanischer Lloyd (GL).
These filter elements were engineered and produced in Germany. They are used, for example, for the pre-filtration of fuels in industrial heavy-duty motors of numerous well-known international manufacturers, but are also suitable for use with hydraulic and lubricating oils, coolants, chemicals and water.
By issuing the design approval, the Hamburg-based ship classification society has confirmed the suitability of the filter elements for use in the marine and offshore industry in accordance with the strict guidelines of the company.
As the first manufacturer of certified filter elements of this type, Stauff now has a clear advantage over its competitors, allowing the elements to be used on seagoing vessels, for example.
Walter Stauffenberg GmbH & Co. KG was founded in the 1950s in Werdohl, in the German province of North Rhine-Westphalia, and was initially a contract turning shop. Today the company operates under the trade name STAUFF, developing, producing and marketing fluid technology components for use in plant construction and mechanical engineering. In the fields of tube, pipe and hose clamps, measuring technology and hydraulic filtration, STAUFF is one of the world’s leading organisations in a growing industrial segment.
Meanwhile, more than 1100 employees (12/2013) in 18 companies generate an annual turnover of more than EUR 190 million (12/2013) worldwide. Additional distribution subsidiaries have recently been opened in Ireland, Malaysia and Vietnam. Besides the group headquarters in Werdohl Ehrenfeld, the company has production and logistics facilities in the German cities of Plettenberg-Ohle and Neuenrade-Küntrop.
