Florian Kircher at the celebratory ceremony on 16 October

Florian Kircher, previously trainee for the position of cutting mechanic with the subject area of automatic lathe systems at the Werdohl production plant of Walter Stauffenberg GmbH & Co. KG, has been named one of the best graduates in his training class. At a celebratory ceremony on 16 October, Mr Kircher, who this year completed his vocational training before the testing committees of the South Westphalian Chamber of Industry and Commerce at Hagen (SIHK) with the best grade of 'excellent', was handed a corresponding certificate as recognition of his outstanding achievements by SIHK President Harald Rutenbeck. In his congratulatory remarks, Rutenbeck emphasised that fewer than five per cent of the 3,679 test participants at the SIHK had achieved the overall result of 'excellent' this year, and at the same time thanked the training companies for their willingness to continue to offer apprenticeship positions in a sufficient number.

"Besides the personal recognition of the extraordinary achievements of our trainee, we also see a confirmation of our increased commitment to the area of company training with the honour," said Niclas von Seidlitz from the LUKAD Holding GmbH & Co KG, of which STAUFF is also a part. In May of this year the company was already honoured as one of the few domestic companies with the rating of 'Outstanding Training Company 2013' as the result of an anonymous survey among the trainees.

Considering the demographic changes and the increasing lack of specialists, vocational training represents one of the central topics for Walter Stauffenberg GmbH & Co. KG. The company was therefore pleased to welcome a total of nine new young trainees for training in the commercial and technical areas on 1 August at the corporate locations in Werdohl, Plettenberg and Neuenrade.
