Ted Wilson Just Called the President of the Republic of Zambia a "Faithful and Dedicated Seventh-day Adventist," the same President Who Wondered After the Beast and Bowed before the Pope
President Hakainde Hichilema, as shown in these images receiving Ted Wilson, visited the Vatican last year to bow before Pope Francis. He has also described the Catholic Church as a "lighthouse of hope" and a "barometer of our nation's conscience." President Hichilema also "praised the Catholic Church for the essential social services it provides to the people of the Southern African nation." And Ted Wilson just praised this individual on his Facebook page as a devoted and faithful Seventh-day Adventist.
Protestants do not bow before the Pope because of theological differences between Protestantism and the Roman Catholic Church. Protestants believe in the principle of sola scriptura, which holds that the Bible is the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice, while the Pope is seen as a fallible human being rather than a supreme authority. Additionally, Protestants are supposed to reject the Catholic concept of the Papacy and the Pope's authority over the Church. These differences have led to a division between the two denominations and have resulted in Protestants not recognizing the Pope's authority or bowing before him.
Furthermore, bowing one's head before the Pope is a sign of reverence and respect, and it is a traditional act of Catholic piety. In the Catholic Church, the Pope is considered to be the Vicar of Christ on Earth, and as such, he claims to hold a special position of spiritual authority. When people bow their heads before the Pope, they are showing their respect for his spiritual authority and for the office he holds within the Church. Bowing one's head can also be seen as a symbol of humility and submission to Rome's will, as expressed through the Pope's leadership of the Church. This act is often performed during papal audiences, Mass, or other religious ceremonies and is an important part of Catholic tradition and devotion.
Ted Wilson is supposed to know all of this, and during his pastoral visit to Zambia, it was his duty to correct this major, public aberration in the Seventh-day Adventist faith, not praise it. However, this did not happen. We have been waiting for someone in high places to call into question, to challenge, and to reprove these blatant violations against our faith. Where are the champions of Protestantism at this crucial hour? Sadly, we have seen throughout the years that the so-called defenders of the faith, including the General Conference Public Affairs and Religious Liberty Department, have all been clasping hands with the Roman power.
