German Packaging Award gets started in this interpack year

International competition for the best and most innovative solutions in the packaging sector under the patronage of Federal Minister Sigmar Gabriel.

Since 1st May 2014, the submission phase for the German Packaging Award has been underway. Companies, organizations and individuals from home and abroad can send in their innovations and solutions until the end of July 2014 in the race for a trophy, seal of approval and certificate. The German Packaging Award is awarded in five categories by an independent panel of experts under the patronage of the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy. The award ceremony will take place this year on the 11th November at the opening of the BrauBeviale in Nuremberg.

"The German Packaging Award is currently taking place in an interpack year and is the perfect showcase for innovative companies," says Burkhard Lingenberg dvi board member and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the German Packaging Award. "The most renowned packaging award in Europe is the perfect platform for vying with the competition and for emphatically promoting one’s own services and performance over a wide reach. At the same time the award winners secure a ticket to the World Star Award by the World Packaging Organization WPO."

The German Packaging Award perceives itself as an industry and material-spanning award for outstanding quality and innovation to customers, consumers, suppliers and employees worldwide. You can submit large or seemingly small innovative solutions within the field of packaging – from materials on products and machines to entire application scenarios. To promote young talent early on and to allow them access to the industrial network, special awards for young talent are awarded in each category.
