15th Annual National Yo-Yo Competition Draws Nation's Top Competitors to Chico, CA

On October 6th, nationally ranked yo-yo competitors from all over the country will gather in Downtown Plaza Park in Chico, CA for the 2007 National Yo-Yo Contest. The rapid growth of yo-yoing has turned the "Number One Toy of the 20th Century" into a competitive and entertaining sport. Today there are more proficient players than anytime in history, as today's fast-paced yo-yoing has proven to be an activity interesting to all ages.

At 1 pm the yo-yo finalists will compete for the National Title in 5 different yo-yo divisions. Each finalist will perform a 3-min. freestyle routine to music that will be judged for technical execution and performance style.

Another exciting event during the day is the 2007 National Spin-Top Competition, which will be crowning its new National Champion. Additionally, there will be Sport Ladder competitions in yo-yoing, diabolo, and spin-tops. These ladder contests are for all ages and skill levels and are a great opportunity to learn from some of the nation's best players. This family event is free to all spectators.
