President G. Alexander Bryant and AdventHealth Respond to

AdventHealth and North American Division President G. Alexander Bryant have commented on the church's support of the Broadway production show "Wicked." However, be careful not to get your hopes up. Tragically, nothing will change, no one will take responsibility, and the church's sponsorship of this heinous show will go on in 2023.

Back on October 31, 2022, we published an exposé revealing how AdventHealth, a Seventh-day Adventist church-owned healthcare system, was financially sponsoring the blockbuster Broadway production "Wicked," which includes witches, dragons, demons, wizards, and a goat teacher (Baphomet). We also demonstrated how this blasphemous, demon-glorifying production is scheduled to be played both on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons at the Walt Disney Theater located inside the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. No matter how many excuses church leaders offer, God will never support our church's decision to financially sponsor a show about witches and demons that people will be paying to see on the Sabbath.

President G. Alexander Bryant did respond to the many of you who wrote to him with your concerns. In his email, President G. Alexander Bryant shifted all the responsibility for the church's involvement with witches to the local Union. President Bryant basically says that it's not his problem and that this situation is out of his jurisdiction, even though he is the top Seventh-day Adventist in North America. In other words, this witchcraft show that is being financially sponsored and promoted by the church here in North America is not his responsibility or concern. He tells people that they have to talk to the Union, not the Division, even though the Unions are under his jurisdiction.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is coming from the man who is in charge of the work in North America. Brothers and sisters, no God-fearing pastor would make such a politically correct statement. That is what politicians do, not pastors. This is what you call "side-stepping the issue" and not being willing to get involved or do anything. Instead of saying what God says about witchcraft and Sabbath-breaking, he says he has nothing to do with AdventHealth. In God's eyes, the cover-up is just as bad as the crime.

Why can't our leaders simply state that witchcraft is against God's will and that we shouldn't participate in it? Why doesn't President Bryant just come out and say that he doesn't agree with these corporate sponsorships and that he will speak with AdventHealth about it given that he just met with the President of AdventHealth on October 6, 2022, and given that he just formed an alliance with AdventHealth for future mission unity? Why are church leaders unable to provide these assurances to church members?

The response from AdventHealth wasn't any better. AdventHealth's Executive Director for External Communication, Garrett Caldwell, DMin prepared a statement for concerned members. The letter stated:

• "As the major healthcare provider in Central Florida, AdventHealth believes it is important to have a brand presence in the community where people live, work, and play."

• "Community presence builds community trust. Therefore, it is very important for AdventHealth to be actively involved in a wide variety of community events that we do not control."

• "Sponsorship agreements do not empower AdventHealth to control schedules for activities taking place in those venues, nor should they be seen as an endorsement of the content."

Financially sponsoring witchcraft should not be seen as an endorsement of the content? This statement defies belief. AdventHealth is paying a lot of money to be associated with these events, but we are not supposed to see this as an endorsement? That's what sponsorships mean. This is an act of supporting an event or events with your money. In fact, when Disney and other worldly corporations take money from AdventHealth for these sponsorships, they use that money to continue funding their witchcraft productions. But somehow, the NAD is sending out a letter written by AdventHealth saying that when they financially sponsor witchcraft events, they are not actually endorsing those same events. This is beyond comprehension, unless, of course, they think we are all a bunch of ignorant imbeciles.

Then AdventHealth says, "Well, we don't get to choose what kind of programming will be played at the Walt Disney Theater located inside the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts; we just pay to market our name brand at their events." AdventHealth and Disney have been partners for more than 20 years, and they still don't know Disney by now? Do they not know that Disney has a long history with witchcraft? Are they really in the dark? Is this a big surprise and shock for them? Of course it's not. They know, and they are aware of much more than they are letting on. They just think that we are all a bunch of simpletons who are gullible enough to believe whatever excuses they can come up with for damage control.

AdventHealth concludes by asking, "How else will the community trust us if we don't have a community presence?" That is how they describe their corporate partnerships to Seventh-day Adventist Church members. In other words, "How else can people trust us if we don't sponsor witchcraft shows on God's holy Sabbath hours?" This is complete nonsense because it implies that in order for the public to trust us, we must violate God's Sabbath and promote spiritualism. Who are these men who would say such things?

King Saul lost his life for having a "community presence" with witches (1 Samuel 28) and for participating in the same abomination that AdventHealth is committing. The North American Division and AdventHealth would be well advised to stop playing games and politics with this extremely dangerous issue. Adventists must refrain from sponsoring witchcraft in all its forms.

Witchcraft is evil. It is sin. It is a temptation. And millions will be lost because of this abomination that AdventHealth is involved in. Any church leader who acts hesitantly or ambiguously regarding witchcraft is not acting in a normal manner. Furthermore, making excuses for this grave error or turning a blind eye to this evil will have present, ongoing, and eternal consequences.

"When existing evils are not met and checked, because men have too little courage to reprove wrong, or because they have too little interest or are too indolent to tax their own powers in putting forth earnest efforts to purify the family or the church of God, they are accountable for the evil which may result in consequence of neglect to do their duty" (Testimonies, vol. 4, p. 516). #sda #adventist #adventista

Let Us Stop Avoiding the Real Issues
As the 2025 General Conference Session convenes, with believers from around the world watching and praying, there is an unmistakable sense of frustration among many of the faithful.
