At the turn of the year the hundredth project in process

The Bielefeld specialist for heat transfer and energy conversion heat 11 looks back on a satisfying business year 2013. Sales and earnings were again increased despite considerable drops in the solar business.

Despite the difficult market situation in 2013 and the virtual collapse of the solar market the sales rose again to about EUR 8.7 million. The profit also made “significant gains” according to company whereby the company remained reserved in terms of absolute figures.

„The year 2014 will be a year of consolidation for us.”, said Dr. Dietmar Hunold, general manager technology and new markets of heat 11. Following a weaker second half of 2013, the company is on course in new orders in 2014 also. ”We have a very extensive project pipeline making us optimistic for 2014, too.” continues Hunold. At the turn of the year the hundredth project could be taken into process. The power range of the heat transfer plants projected by the company varies from 200 kW up to 17.000 kW. The types of heating comprise electrical heaters, fired heaters and waste heat systems with a host of different primary energies.

According to company, important major projects could be concluded in 2013. This includes in particular heaters for the thermal solar power plants “Extresol 3” and “Los Arenales” but also plants for the chemical industry and the energy sector worldwide. The company also made a good step further towards the important objective of the internationalization. Strong sales partners could be gained for important growth regions such as Latin America or the Arabian Peninsula and with a subsidiary company it has established itself in China.

On the market for not more than three years, there are heat 11 plants already almost all over the world. So the Bielefeld plant engineering company, in its own term, could assemble plants or put them into operation in 2013 among others in Chile, Peru, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, the Unites States of America, China and Russia. A plant for Australia is currently in production, call for tenders are in process for South Africa, Morocco, Iraq, Malaysia and Iran.

The foundation for the success is the extraordinary expertise of the heat 11 engineers to develop tailor-made and efficient plant concepts even in case of highest customer requirements. “With innovative solutions and a professional project management also in the difficult international environment we create clear competition advantages for our customers,” Hunold is convinced. The consequent customer orientation and the expansion of the internationally focused strategy are to ensure growth and earnings over the long term. A special role is played by the subsidiary company heat 11 Shanghai Co., Ltd. with which at site in China also customers from Germany and Europe can be supported effectively with their projects in the “Middle Kingdom”. The range of services is from procurement assistance of components and installation service over the quality management up to interpretation and support at commissioning and approvals. “With this offer we can create genuine added value for our customers.” said Hunold.
