"I first started working together with the Danish String Quartet in 2011, at the first string quartet festival held at the Heidelberg Spring (Heidelberger Frühling). The festival brought us together to perform the Brahms Clarinet Quintet. The experience was amazing: emotionally and musically everything worked out so well that we decided we certainly wanted to record a CD together. For me it was the perfect occasion to suggest Robert Fuchs since the two works are a particularly fine match, both in recital and on CD. "
