Franz Schubert's four Piano Trios in a new release played by TRIO JEAN PAUL

Franz Schubert's four Piano Trios in a new release played by TRIO JEAN PAUL

“Whoever dares to deal with Schubert inevitably embarks on a borderline experience. Time stretches to the uttermost, almost beyond human measure. The music, in essence, tells us about our own lives, but it seems to be pointing beyond life’s limits. Here we have life in full bud, bursting to the fullest; daring explorations and danceable élan coexist with otherworldly beauty and rapturous contemplation. All of this is held together by an infallible instinct for formal balance, and that well-known “Schubert tone” that every rendition attempts to achieve; the greatest of joys is getting it right. …….
In it's 20 Years, the famous piano trio TRIO JEAN PAUL has never recorded Schubert's most essential piano trios; now all four trios are brand new due for release at January 20, 2012 on a double CD (recorded by WDR 2011). They themselves are presenting the most beautiful gift for their own birthday. The trio is well known worldwide and highly respected by the classical community at home as well as around the world on their yearly's international tours.

Avi-Service for music dedicates its energies entirely to classical music and jazz (founded 2003). Apart from marketing and PR-projects, concepts and campaigns for classical and jazz artists & labels, Avi-Service for music offers with its own labels a platform for chamber and orchestral music (CAvi-music), period performance (CAvi-Autentica) and voices (SoloVoce) with a worldwide sales & distribution operation.

“Of all Chopin’s works, I find that the two Ballades featured here (op.23 & op.52) and the twenty-four Preludes are some of his most impressive pieces for solo piano. The order chosen here reflects the way I experience these works: The Ballade in G minor literally tells a story – with eloquence, rhetoric and associations of ideas. But it ends in chaos and catastrophe. That drama is followed by a
