Ready for the future - GO4Q brings mobile payment to everybody
App turns smartphones into mobile checkout systemsSo far, the mobile payment landscape in Germany suffers its one-sidedness: Either there is an app on the consumers smartphone, which finds no matching counterpart on the dealers side, or (as in the case of NFC or Beacon) a technology is being used that only a few, large retailers have installed. The middle-class is excluded.
With its mCommerce solution “GO4Q”, german IT-Company “it-werke” shows that "mobile" can be universal and used by all. The basis for this are specially developed QR codes, the GO4Q app for customers and the QTerminal-App for merchants. QTerminal transforms hairdressers (pizza delivery services, supermarkets...) smartphones into mobile POS systems and points of acceptance for vouchers and tickets - fast, easy to use and inexpensive. With the GO4Q-App, by scanning a QR code, for instance a ticket to a concert is put right on the customers mobile phone. This way, the customer is put in the Fast Lane - skipping all the others in the waiting line. By the way: All kind of coupons (tickets, pick-up coupons, vouchers, etc.) can also be shared with friends by a single click (using WhatsApp etc.). Cashless payment is also easy: A customer sees and scans the Payment Code, and is excited by how easy it was.
It does not take much to enter mobile business – the merchants app QTerminal is available free of charge. This is especially interesting for smaller retailers and service providers. Bakeries, restaurants and your favorite ice cream parlor next door can immediately offer "mobile" services, without investment costs for introduction and testing associated. "Of course, we also have interfaces to the leading manufacturers POS-systems. On these systems, GO4Q is fully integrated and a payment-method just like any other. This results in the continuity the customer wants", says Ulrich Kipper, CEO of it-werke. "For many, ‘Mobile’ is currently used meaning just another way of paying at the register. But isn’t the real exciting thing about ‘Mobile’ the permanent achievable customer, which can be picked up with positive actions, coupons and vouchers?"
Even from a marketing perspective, in the long run fewer and fewer actors can afford refraining this technology. Entering mobile business has never been easier.
Background:
GO4Q allows customers to do mobile shopping, ordering and payment with their smartphone. GO4Q and QTerminal can be used by retail, service and hospitality. Registration is free. QTerminal provides a mobile checkout system and verification/validation functions for coupons, vouchers and tickets.
