GO4Q Web Terminal

GO4Q Web Terminal

Lahr (Germany), 16.08.2013

Web terminal allows mobile payment for everyone

A computer, a smartphone or tablet – that’s all a merchant needs to offer modern mobile payment to his customers. Where as yet expensive hardware was needed, the german IT-Company “it-werke” with their new browser-based Web terminal, now offers the easiest and fastest solution on the market.

Who said that mobile payment is difficult to implement or even complex to integrate?
Conjured up by the industry for years, and outperformed each other with always new study results and growth prospects, mobile payment with smartphones in Germany still ekes in the shadows.
Too expensive are the NFC terminals, too little common smartphones with built-in NFC chips, so the tenor - a classic chicken-and-egg problem. Looking at the factors that prevented widespread dissemination so far, it is mainly the technical requirements to merchants and customers, and the lack of added value that prevent a push forward on the progress bar. For merchants, the purchase of NFC terminals often is unprofitable, or the ROI is not foreseeable. Customers lack NFC enabled phones. Mobile payment - a stillbirth?

Now, however, there are also solutions that only cause a fraction of the cost and offer a wide range of possibilities, only limited by imagination.
We are talking about QR codes, the small block pictograms that, in ancient times, were only used for displaying weblinks or background information. Today, the often neglected QR codes are outgrown its infancy and offer a wealth of possibilities: Order, payment, donations, coupons, tickets, loyalty programs - the list goes on and on.
The major advantage for retailers: QR codes are much easier to handle and cheaper than comparable solutions.
The same applies for customers, who only need a smartphone with a built-in camera and the free app “GO4Q”. It applies everywhere and can be used at any participating retailer. Payment is, according to preference, possible by SEPA direct debit, credit card or PayPal. Where NFC only solves the problem of paying, GO4Q creates the necessary added value for customers and trade, the essential requirement of a nationwide distribution.
By creating a browser-based web terminal, merchants now need not more than a computer, tablet or smartphone to be able to accept mobile payments. The invoice amount including document number is entered in a simple window in the web-browser, and by a click on a button, a QR code is generated. This, customers only need to scan with their GO4Q App - done! Mobile payment has never been that quick and simple. No initial costs for hardware, no barriers to entry. For the first time, simple mobile payment is possible for all kind of merchants, from the bakery around the corner to the pizza delivery service up to global companies. Safety is not neglected. No sensitive Information is stored at any time, neither on the web terminal or the smartphone.

Thus, GO4Q liberalizes mobile payment for everyone. If you want to move towards mobile payment, the way has never been easier than today.
