British School Manila Community Runs for Good Causes

The British School Manila's (BSM) Fun Run took place on Sunday, 23 October 2022 at the school's campus in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The Fun Run, which is an annual school event held to raise money for the school's Service & Sustainability partners, first took place in 2015.

Whilst the event migrated online during the pandemic, this year marked the first in-person event since permission for face-to-face learning classes to resume was granted at the end of 2021. Held in Urdaneta Village before the pandemic, this was the first time the event had been held in BGC and the first to be held using the school's newly resurfaced field.

More than 350 members of the school's international community participated in the event, helping to raise valuable funds for the school's Service & Sustainability partners. Students, families and staff participating were cheered on by supporters as they took part in their chosen challenge distances. Afterwards they had the opportunity to enjoy food and beverage from a variety of student-run stalls and local vendors.

The event is one of many held throughout the year to support their partner organisations.

The British School Manila (BSM) is a co-educational, private, not-for-profit British international school. Founded in 1976, the school has grown from 2 classrooms and 32 students in its first year to the present day where BSM welcomes 940+ students aged 3-18, representing 41 nationalities.
The school is a fully accredited member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), a founding member of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and a member of the East Asian Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS). Teaching staff come from a range of backgrounds with experience of the British and other highly regarded curricula. The school offers classes from Nursery to Year 13.
