Baaske Medical unveil’s their medical all-in-one touchscreen panel PC with battery pack

Lübbecke, Germany (date) – For intensive care units and operating theatres, particular imphasis is placed on compact and high-performance IT hardware solutions. With the new e-medic Silence TP 2, Baaske Medical introduces a full-featured computer enclosed in a slim panel case with integral touchscreen. The e-medic Silence TP 2 offers a flexible mounting solution on walls, support arms, or medical equipment carts. A further important consideration when selecting a medical computer is hygene. In order to meet the stringent cleanliness requirements of laboratory and hospital environments, spinning fans and ventilation slots have been eliminated. Other advantages include: an antibacterial coated case (IP53 rated protection against dust and water spray), and a washable glass front (IP 65 rated protection against dust and water spray). The glass front has chemical protection against a wide variety of medical disinfectant fluids or cleaning agents.
Seperate mouse and keyboard peripherals are not required, since the user can  quickly, and intuitively interact with the e-medic Silence TP 2 using the high-resolution touchscreen display.
The highlight among the array of e-medic TP 2 features is the optional Lithium-ion battery pack. This uninteruptable power supply (UPS) provides continous power for up to 25 minutes so that the system can safely be shut down in cases of sudden power loss.
Further notable technical features: the 22-inch 16:9 A++ class TFT panel with long-life LED backlight is especially energy effecient without compromising on performance. With a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and a brightness of 250 cd/m², the screen is capable of displaying full HD resolution for highly detailed real time images. This level of resolution is critical for digital imaging applications such as endoscopy. The e-medic Silence TP 2 delivers a 4K high-resolution touch screen with the latest anti-glare technology that optimizes viewability in all lighting conditions. Due to this technical advancement, the screen provides significantly better sharpness and contrast ratios than matte overlays.

All of these aforementioned features, combined with an Intel® Core™ i 3rd Generation processor and fast HD4000 graphics card, create powerful as well as compact medical PC system. A 2-channel heatpipe cooling system maintains safe operating tempratures for maximum reliability and longevity.
