International Women's Day 2022 JMA Pilani Joins hands with RMA Sports Academy for Fitness Camp

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. It is clear that SDGs cannot be achieved without Women participation. SDG 5 is Gender Equality while SDG 3 is Good Health and Well Being.

Smt Jamuna Mishra Academy - JMA established in the year 2004 at Pilani which is considered as Oasis in the desert state of Rajasthan has set a rich tradition of celebrating various days of national as well as international importance on a regular basis. It is a matter of great pride that JMA alumni are presently pursuing higher education in various institutions which include BITS Pilani and NAAC A++ Banasthali Vidyapith ranked as the Second-Best Women's university in the world.

The theme for 2022 International Women's Day is "Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow". Since keeping Fit is essential for gender equality, JMA Pilani joined hands RMA Sports Academy Pilani for conducting a fitness camp for women teachers from various Pilani schools. The Women's physical fitness and self defence camp started on 7th March 2022 at Smt. Jamuna Mishra Academy, Pilani and was completed successfully on 11th March 2022. The fitness coaches were Mr. Johnny Mahesh Kumar and Rakesh Kumar.

Mr. Pitram ji Kala-the chief district education officer Churu, was the chief guest for the inaugural occasion. Other dignitaries included JMA President Dr. Suman Mishra, JMA Principal Mrs. Booma Natarajan, BET CMO and the president of R.M.A. Sports academy Mr. Hari Singh Sankhla along with Vice president and accounts officer Mr. Vinod Alaria. On the concluding day, T-shirts and medals were distributed to all the participants. JMA school received a glittering memento for extending infrastructure and support.
