Press release from: acontis technologies GmbH

Weingarten, Germany (February 19th, 2013) – acontis technologies GmbH of Weingarten, a leading provider of EtherCAT® software, announced today the release of its EC-Master EtherCAT Master Stack for the new release, version 5 of TenAsys® INtime® RTOS family of products.

Real-time Ethernet capability based on the EtherCAT technology, acontis technologies’ EC-Master software and TenAsys’ INtime provide together the key components for modern Ethernet-based PC control systems. These technologies enable customers to fulfill all their deterministic control logic needs in software without the use of proprietary field bus or co-processing hardware.

acontis’ EC-Master is fully compliant with the ETG.1500 EtherCAT Master Class A and Class B specifications, and all ETG.1500 specified feature packs are available with industry-proven quality.

EC-Master supports both operating environments contained in TenAsys’ INtime RTOS family of products: an updated release of INtime for Windows where the INtime RTOS runs alongside Windows, and the new stand-alone RTOS, INtime Distributed RTOS. This provides a new level of flexibility for embedded system developers to reduce system-level costs and add scalability to PC-based embedded designs.

The full EC-Master stack software architecture is fully integrated with INtime, including the EC-Master feature packs, the Windows based EC-Lyser diagnosis bus system analyzer, the EC-Engineer network configurator and diagnosis tool and the EC-CTK configurator toolkits. All components are now available for this platform.

EtherCAT® is registered trademark and patented technology, licensed by Beckhoff Automation GmbH, Germany.
