Ratingen, 3rd August 2007
Mox Telecom realises a turnover of 38.51 million Euro in the first half year of 2007 and confirms the sustained positive development in turnover compared to the previous year and quarter. The turnover increased by 13.53 million euro (54.2%) versus the same period last year.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of the first six month of 2007 rose to 1.75 million euro from 0.17 million euro in 2006. The net profit amounted to 1.30 million euro, what equals a rise of 1.36 million euro versus the same period last year. The operating profit rose to 0.49 euro per share (previous year: - 0.02 euro).
The results of the first half year of 2007 conclusively confirmed the very positive development of the company: turnover and EBITDA have been considerably increased. The shown rise in turnover is largely based on the continuous growth of Mox’s overseas markets and the solid business in Germany. That proofs the forecast for 2007 to be commensurate and that Mox is on the rise.
Mox assumes this positive trend in turnover and earnings is set to continue for the remainder of the financial year. The international expansion of the business and the constant advancement and new development of products will also be essential drivers in terms of development in the future. By investing in further enhancing technological know-how Mox Telecom AG will underpin these plans. That will lay the technological foundation for being up to the mark with the ever growing market requirements worldwide. Furthermore, Mox can efficiently provide a wide range of enhanced and new VoIP based applications for its calling card business.
For 2007 Mox is aiming for an annual net profit of at least 2.5 million euro (previous year: 1.31 million euro) and earnings of at least 0.95 euro (previous year: 0.55 euro) per share. On the strength of its strong market position and sustained demand for new products, the Management Board also envisages a significant increase in earnings from normal business activity in 2008 and an annual net profit well in excess of that achieved this year. Projected calculations for 2008 indicate an annual net profit in the region of twice that of the current year 2007.
