DMC Software, award winning Sage Business Partner, is hosting a series of cloud computing workshops to help small to mid-sized organisations
According to research conducted by the Cloud Industry Forum, current Cloud adoption for UK organisations is 62%, with adoption growing 27% since the original study in January 2011. This research goes some way to confirming how much Cloud Computing has grown in the last few years, and that it is definitely a viable solution for UK businesses – says DMC Software.
The significant growth in this sector can be attributed to the cost savings moving to the Cloud can offer businesses. The Cloud can considerably reduce operational costs by reducing outlay for hardware, removing the need for in-house expertise and maintenance activity. Cloud solutions have a pay-monthly pricing model which can enhance business cash flow with small manageable costs.
To help small to mid-sized organisations understand the latest technology available to them, award Winning Sage and Microsoft Business Partner, DMC Software host a series of Cloud Computing Workshops, beginning with a Peterborough Workshop on 20th November 2012. The Cloud Workshop is ideal for small to medium organisations that want to better understand Cloud Computing, and the benefits it can offer. This week guest speaker Peadar O’Byrne from TCS Solutions was announced – specialists in the provision of cutting edge ICT infrastructure.
David Bullock, from DMC Softwares TotalCare Division, commented “I have been in the IT industry since 1990 and I believe that Cloud offers a real transformation in the way technology can be delivered to businesses. There are some clear business benefits for Cloud but some potential pitfalls too that are not so evident. This seminar will be most refreshing in that it is designed to help attendees establish - from both a technical and a commercial viewpoint - whether Cloud is for them. It will be time well spent for forward-thinking businesses in the Peterborough area.”
Cloud Computing transforms the way organisational data is managed, removing the need for traditional on-premise methods. There are multiple Cloud options available depending on an organisations needs. Software as a Service (SaaS), is an entry level cloud option which enables resource hungry software to be hosted and Virtual Private Servers (VPS), where the contents of entire servers is hosted on the Cloud.
