Grand Freshmen Welcome at Sangam University Bhilwara Rajasthan

While for many top ranking universities in USA, Australia and Europe, freshmen welcome is as glamorous as the graduating students convocation function, its importance in India today is no less.

It goes without saying that when one moves out of schooling to step into college, invariably it is the freshmen welcome which eases the transition from hand holding by parents to hand shaking with friends heralding the transformation of dreamers into leaders who know the way, go and show the way.

Sangam University Bhilwara supported by Sangam Group of Industries with business interests spanning textiles, steel, infrastructure, power and energy has been established by Govt. of Rajasthan Act No. 14 of 2012 incorporated u/s 2(f) of UGC Act 1956.

The orientation programme for Sangam University - SU was organized during 6-8 August 2012. After the traditional "Saraswati Puja" and lamp lighting, SU Chairperson - Chancellor & Sangam India Chairman Shri R.P. Soni, Managing Director Sangam India Shri S.N. Modani, Executive Director Sangam India Shri V.K. Sodani, SU Board member Mr. Anurag Soni addressed the Students. Miss Antima Soni, Board Member SU, Ms Madhu Nagpal Principal Sangam School of Excellence (an IB World School), Prof NK Mathur Principal ITM also graced the occasion.

Prof. B.R. Natarajan, President - Vice Chancellor gave an overview of the salient features of SU and highlighted the various rules and regulations. The students also showcased their talents in various group activities and did a wall writing session to express their dreams.

Dr. Anuj Nuwal presented in detail the examination and evaluation process, letter grading, SGPA - CGPA, minimum academic requirements and graduation Criteria. Mr. SK Jain spoke on Corporate Resource Centre - CRC at SU and various training and placement activities. After interactive sessions with various faculty members, students were taken on a Plant Visit to Sangam India Ltd. at Bhilwara. Faculty incharges for various Club Activities briefed the students.

As an integral part of the orientation, Mr Shyam Birla CEO of the Smt Kesar Bhai Soni Hospital which is a Corporate Social Responsibility activity of Sangam India with vibrant tie up with Apollo Hospital emphasized on safety precautions and conducted a first-aid and Health and hygiene session for all the new admission students.

At the end of the orientation, the beaming faces of students and parents conveyed beyond doubt that they were proud to be part of Sangam University which is destined to achieve glory with the motto "Where Aspiration Meets Opportunity."
