i1connect News: Blair to Work on Middle East Peace and Interreligious Dialogue
New York, NY - June 25, 2007 - Today, outgoing British Prime Minister met with current Catholic Pope Benedict XVI in Vatican City.Blair held long talks with Pope Benedict XVI, with the Vatican stop on his farewell tour fueling rumors that he plans to convert to Catholicism. The two men met privately for 25 minutes, and then were joined for further talks by English Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor.
Earlier this week, reports surfaced that the United States, and Blair's close personal friend, US President George W. Bush, was going to nominate Blair to be the Middle East Peace Envoy for the Quartet of Peacemakers – the United States, European Union, United Nations, and Russia.
When i1connect learned of Blair's ambitions of Middle East peace and interreligious dialogue, someone with very similar ambitions came to mind: Daniel Imperato.
