Press release from: SkyWave

Direct improvements of productivity were reported by client as a result of the recent implementation of the GlobalTrack solution

Woodmead, SOUTH AFRICA and Ottawa, CANADA – June 19, 2007 – Implementation of GlobalTrack’s satellite tracking solution resulted in a 21% increase of productivity in the 1st month of operation for one of their customers. GlobalTrack is the leading provider of vehicle tracking solutions with customized software. In cooperation with SkyWave Mobile Communications, the leading supplier of satellite communications products and services, they provide tailored solutions to improve fleet management.

In August 2006, a customer purchased 65 SkyWave tracking units from GlobalTrack. Implementation of the system yielded overwhelmingly positive results; 21% ROI in the 1st month. Improved information on real time locations of transport vehicles enabled the client to improve their transportation planning and consequently, their productivity.

“The GlobalTrack solution provided us with seamless, real-time positions and enables management of our vehicles from virtually any location in the world,” says the client. “We are thrilled about the positive returns in such a short period.”

Savings such as these resulted in the installation of a further 300 units for another client in January 2007.

Solution providers like GlobalTrack around the world trust SkyWave’s DMR-200 series satellite systems to build dependable tracking and security applications for end-users. GlobalTrack integrates SkyWave satellite systems into its solutions to enable its customers to maintain control of their remote assets and optimize their operational management. GlobalTrack’s fully-customizable solutions focus on risk management, driver control, fleet management and security applications. Currently, GlobalTrack is developing a new and improved AJAX version of their tracking application in close cooperation with clients.

“We are very proud of our work” says Pieter Smits, CEO for GlobalTrack. “This customer’s productivity gains exemplify the positive results our customers experience after implementing our fleet management solutions—simplified, improved asset tracking and monitoring, leading to bottom-line business results. This further validates the importance of asset tracking and management solutions as a business requirement in the real world.”
