Press release from: SkyWave

Increasing numbers of global applications benefiting from SkyWave’s next-generation products and network services

Ottawa, CANADA – October 3, 2007 – SkyWave Mobile Communications, the global leader for two-way satellite telematics products and services, announces it has exceeded sales of 110,000 terminal units at the close of its most successful year to date, solidifying the company’s position as market leader. Bolstered by the recent launch of the DMR-800D terminal and the SkyWave IsatM2M network service, SkyWave has shipped over 30,000 units this year alone, representing growth of 40% year-over-year.

This year also marks the company’s 10th anniversary, establishing SkyWave as the only D+ network operator with over 10 years in operation. SkyWave attributes its ongoing success in large part to its solid understanding of both market and customer requirements, working primarily with Solution Providers and System Integrators as opposed to selling directly to the end-user. SkyWave’s philosophy of not competing for end-user business is a testament to the company’s commitment to its Partner’s mutual success.

SkyWave’s satellite and dual-mode satellite/GPRS products have a reputation for ease of use while delivering low-cost, reliable communications for asset management, control and security applications. SkyWave’s global network provides ubiquitous, dependable service over 5 overlapping ocean regions. Partners benefit from SkyWave’s independently owned, state-of-the-art Land Earth Station (LES) equipment which provides consistent 99.995% network uptime and delivers over 16 million messages each month.

Developed to meet increasing market demand, SkyWave’s next-generation IsatM2M service is built on enhancements to its trusted D+ network service. The new DMR-800D terminal represents the 6th generation of SkyWave’s field-proven DMR product series and was purpose-built for use with the SkyWave IsatM2M network.

“This has been a significant year for SkyWave due to several growth drivers including increasing global demand, the successful launch of our IsatM2M products and network services and our Partner’s continued support,” says Pui-Ling Stanley Chan, CEO and Managing Director for SkyWave. “More than ever, the market recognizes the value provided by SkyWave’s dependable and low-cost satellite telematics products and services for a broad range of mission-critical applications.”
