Securosys 365: Swiss-Made Security for Microsoft 365

DuoKey, an innovative cybersecurity company in Lausanne, and Securosys, a leader in cybersecurity, encryption and digital identity protection from Zurich, announced the launch of Securosys 365 today. Securosys 365 is a Swiss Cloud service that encrypts Microsoft 365 office applications in the Microsoft Azure Cloud. It allows enterprises and governmental services to move to the cloud while still adhering to the strictest data privacy regulations.

Securosys 365 encrypts the contents of documents stored in the Microsoft 365 Cloud by using keys not available to Microsoft. This service takes advantage of Microsoft’s new Double Key Encryption (DKE) offer: any Microsoft 365 document that is, by default, encrypted with keys managed by Microsoft can now be encrypted once more with an additional key. This key is under the exclusive control of the customer and is securely stored in Securosys CloudsHSMs. The document can only be viewed and accessed with both keys, much like the four-eyes principle. The files remain inaccessible to any provider like Microsoft, Securosys, or DuoKey.

Securosys 365 is provided through Securosys’ ISO27001-certified CloudsHSM service in Switzerland. It generates secure keys, and also takes care of their management, handling, and storage on behalf of the customer. It is operated geo-redundantly in three different Swiss datacenters. For customers providing services in which data privacy is paramount, the combination of Securosys 365 and Microsoft DKE enables the most secure usage of the Microsoft 365 Cloud.

Securosys 365 is built on the basis of Securosys CloudsHSMs and uses Securosys’ FIPS140-2 Level 3 certified Primus HSM. All software code and blueprints from Securosys and DuoKey can be reviewed by our customers. Neither Microsoft, Securosys, nor DuoKey have access to the plain view of any customer data.
