Securosys launches Cloud-aware Primus HSM for HashiCorp Vault

Zurich, 9 October 2023 - Securosys SA, a leading provider in cybersecurity, cloud security, encryption, and digital identity protection, is excited to introduce REST-based HSM integration into HashiCorp Vault, catering to both Enterprise and Community editions.

This integration promises to revolutionize data protection by offering a platform-agnostic REST interface with zero library installation, while eliminating connectivity hurdles by using secure web connections (TLS). This facilitates the use and deployment in clustered and multi-cloud environments. Moreover, all Securosys HSM innovations like hardware enforced multi-authorization and high-performance encryption (ECIES, AES-GCM) are at one's disposal.

Introducing Securosys Secrets Engine for HashiCorp Vault
Users will have access to the full spectrum of HSM functionalities through Securosys' state-of-the-art plugin, compatible with both Vault Enterprise and Community Editions. This feature-rich integration empowers users to manage their keys securely stored on the HSM, and it allows them to perform cryptographic operations on the HSM. Moreover, the solution includes enhanced HSM features such as hardware-enforced multi-authorization workflows for compliance, signature services, or blockchain transactions.

Bringing HSM Integration to the Vault Community Edition
Security is paramount, even in trial projects. Securosys extends its solution by introducing REST-based HSM integration for HashiCorp Vault Community Edition. Users can unlock their Vault with the security of an HSM, and utilize multi-authorization workflows for compliance applications from the very beginning.

"HashiCorp Vault stands as the unrivaled champion for secrets management in Cloud applications", says Robert Rogenmoser, the visionary CEO of Securosys. "We are absolutely thrilled to enhance our portfolio with REST-based HSM integration and multi-authorization capabilities for Vault, aiming to provide unprecedented security solutions for our valued customers."

By integrating Securosys HSMs (CloudsHSM and on-premise Primus HSM) into HashiCorp Vault, users benefit from seamless integration and deployment and the full HSM functionality, including high-performance encryption. Furthermore, the usage of hardware-enforced multi-authorization workflows as well as hardware-protected keys completes this innovative solution.
