PMForum names Mounir Ajam as International Project Management Correspondent in Dubai

Dallas, Texas – June 11, 2007 — PMForum, Inc announced today that Mounir A. Ajam has become an International Correspondent for the Company in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. PMForum is forming a Global Correspondents Network to provide project management-related news and information from around the world and to provide the company with local representation. PMForum operates www.pmforum.org, the world’s first website devoted to professional project management, and produces the popular monthly online e-Journal PM World Today.

According to PMForum managing editor David Pells, “Mr. Ajam brings over 20 years of project management experience on a wide range of industrial and construction projects for some of the largest organizations in the Middle East. He is a past director of the PMI Arabian Gulf chapter and is a well known professional leader throughout the region. It is an honor to have him join our correspondents’ team.”

Mounir A. Ajam, MS, PMP, is chief executive officer of SUKAD FZ-LLC Innovation Centre, based in Dubai Knowledge Village and providing services across the Middle East. SUKAD specializes in project management consultancy, training, and performance improvement, and clients include Saudi Arabian Parsons, Saudi Royal Commission of Jubail & Yanbu, Dubai Holding, National Commercial Bank, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), TECOM Investments, TATWEER, and many others. Mr. Ajam is a PM expert with 20 years of experience in the engineering, construction, oil, gas, and petrochemical industries. He has provided professional services in various global locations, including the United States, the United Kingdom, South East Asia, and the Middle East. His expertise ranges from managing small projects to working on mega capital projects with many of the world leading organizations, such as BASF, Exxon, Saudi Aramco and Shell. His experience includes projects in remote and multiple locations, major modularization, joint ventures and alliances, multi-cultural and multi-national teams, and multiple projects.

Mr. Ajam holds a Master of Science in Engineering & Construction Management from the University of California at Berkeley (USA) and a Bachelor of Science (honors) in Civil Engineering from the University of Houston (USA). He is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI®), the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACEI), and is listed among the International Who’s Who of Professionals. He achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from PMI in 1998 and graduated from PMI’s Leadership Institute Masters Class in 2007. Mr. Ajam has served on the advisory board for PMI’s Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.) program, as a director for the PMI-Arabian Gulf Chapter, and is the lead advocate for a new PMI chapter in the UAE.
