Press release from: Toyota Material Handling Europe

The BT Lifter LHM230 hand pallet truck from Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) has recently achieved record results in a rig test at the company’s forklift factory in Mjölby, Sweden. Demonstrating its efficiency and quality once again, the BT Lifter LHM230 proved its resistance to more than 200,000 cycles per 1000kg load; a great achievement for TMHE considering the BT Lifter previously reached 150,000 cycles in the rig test.

To run such a test, forklift trucks are randomly selected from production to assess their material handling capabilities. The trucks are tested in a rig with a EURO pallet of 1,000 kg placed on the forks to simulate a typical operation. For each cycle, the tow bar is pressed down to lift the load at maximum height and then it is released to the floor level again. This movement is repeated until the truck is critically damaged. The results are then analysed by TMHE’s Quality Department and passed on to the Production and Design Departments to ensure that products such as TMHE’s hand pallet trucks constantly undergo improvement.

Since 2006, TMHE has been offering its customers a lifetime guarantee on the BT Lifter LHM230 chassis. A 99 year warranty on the frame is an undeniable seal of trust and the company’s hand pallet truck is already up to five times longer-lasting in operations than its competitors’.

Nonetheless, TMHE continues its commitment to delivering the highest quality to consumers and is eager to reach 250,000 cycles!
