Coach Roth of footballdrills.com contacted Coach Mariani in his campaign to get the college coaches involved into his internet project to provide free American Football coaching material to all coaches in the world. And Coach Mariani responded by sending Coach Roth a copy of his “QUARTERBACKS SUMMER MAILING #1” which covers the drills they run in practice, but also words of wisdom about leadership, work ethics and quality.

These Drills focus mainly on the quarterback dropback mechanics, that is they are mainly drills to be executed by one single player at a time, but might need assistance from some other players/coaches/helpers.

Most American Football coaches on the youth level and most coaches outside the USA do not have a solid coaching education nor can they afford to attend the various coaching clinics - mostly because of time and financial restrictions. Coach Fred P. Mariani took the head coaching job at Iona College as the first full time head coach in the 33-year history of the Iona College football program (NCAA I-AA) in 1998. Prior to accepting his first head coaching position at Iona, Mariani served as the Offensive Coordinator and the Recruiting Coordinator at Fordham University from 1994 through 1997.
Mariani resides in Saddle River, NJ. His daughter Brook, is a senior at Iona.
